How We Source Our Data
Our visa data is sourced from a layered combination of official government publications, industry databases, and verified community reports. We do not rely on a single source — we cross-reference multiple authoritative references for every route.
IATA Travel Centre
Industry-standard airline and border-control requirements database used by airlines and ground handlers worldwide to verify passenger eligibility.
Official Embassy & Consulate Websites
Primary source for each route — we cross-reference the official embassy and consulate portals of destination countries before publishing any visa status.
Foreign Ministry Visa Portals
UK Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office, US State Department, EU Visa Policy Database, Canadian IRCC, and equivalent ministries for all 195 countries.
Government Travel Advisories
We monitor official travel advisories from major issuing countries for visa policy changes, entry restrictions, and emergency requirement updates.

Editorial Standards & Independence
VizaHunt maintains a strict separation between our editorial visa data and our commercial relationships. The visa status, processing times, fees, and document requirements we publish are determined entirely by official sources — not by affiliate partnerships or advertising relationships.
No visa agency, embassy, or government body pays to influence the information we publish. We list visa-on-arrival options whether or not we have an affiliate relationship with a visa service for that route. Our passport strength rankings are calculated from publicly verifiable access counts — not weighted by any commercial factor.
Data Freshness Commitment
Visa policies change frequently — sometimes without advance notice. We monitor official government sources for policy changes and update our database whenever changes are confirmed. Every visa result page displays a "last verified" date so you can see exactly when the data was last reviewed.
Important: Even with regular monitoring, visa requirements can change faster than any database can track. Always verify current requirements directly with the official embassy or consulate of your destination country before booking travel.
